When someone asked me that question yesterday on a podcast, I was able to magically weave together a metaphor about how books give us seeds of ideas, and that it is up to us, the reader, to nourish those seeds with our time, attention, sunlight, and water. The podcast host was in tears. It was a beautiful moment. The reality isn't quite so beautiful, though. My previous coaching business was called "Thrive Within" and during my transition to full time book circles, I had a Facebook Group for other book readers. I played around with several iterations of the name, and finally asked the members of the group what simple word could be to encompass my work and my purpose. When one of the women said, "Emerge" I knew it was perfect, even if I didn't know exactly why. It also fit with my logo, which I didn't change even when my business changed (a win-win). Yesterday, 3 years into my business, I finally let the beautiful why emerge (ha-ha) from wherever it was hiding. Have you ever known something was a fit, even if you couldn't articulate it? Have you been able to articulate it since? Originally posted on LinkedIn with comments. Read Deeper Not Faster
