A peer book circle focuses on bringing together diverse employees for a learning experience that is an intersection of training and community building.
Participating in a peer book circle allows the employees to engage in ongoing generative conversation with peers; step back from the day to day to see the bigger picture, challenge their assumptions, re-envision how they work and lead, and learn what's happening across the organization, reducing the silos that can often exist within larger organizations.
The book acts as the platform and the subject-matter expert, and the facilitator acts as the bridge between consuming and creating, by way of connected, experiential learning.
Unlike traditional learning and development structures, the goal is not to teach or deliver content, but to create space for wisdom to emerge from within the individuals and the group.
What it looks like:
Unlike a traditional book club, a peer book circle meets 6 or more times per book, with the aim of reading deeper and truly bring the learning to life.
