A team book circle focuses on bringing together a team around a common theme that aligns with where they want to grow, or a specific challenge that they want to work through together.
Participating in a team book circle allows the employees to engage in ongoing generative conversation with their team; take a pause from their day-to-day work, challenge their assumptions, and re-envision how they work together as a team.
The book acts as the platform and the subject-matter expert, and the facilitator acts as the bridge between the ideas in the book, and where they are want to go next.
The benefit of the external facilitator, is that they can observe and gently challenge any group dynamics that may be hindering the development and achievement of the team.
What it looks like:
Unlike a traditional book club, a peer book circle meets 6 or more times per book, with the aim of reading deeper and truly bring the learning to life.
