On Saturday, I dropped my son off at a birthday party, and then found a bench in the sun, where I read for 2 hours, finishing up Your Brain on Art while soaking up the rays. I could have closed the book, given myself a pat on the back for finishing yet another book, and gone on my way. But I didn't. Last night, in community with others, I took my SOLO READING into a SOCIAL ENDEAVOR. We didn't talk about Your Brain On Art -- we EXPERIENCED it. Marie Louise Williams, one of our community members, introduced us to neuro graphic art, where we pushed a coin around with a pen, traced those lines, colored in, and otherwise LOST ourselves in the process, while also transforming our emotional state. This is exactly what happens in my book circles. We move from solo to social. We move from discussing to experiencing. We move from consumers to creators. Do you do anything solo, that might be more transformational if you made it social? Originally posted on LinkedIn with comments. Read Deeper Not Faster
