Ready to Solidify Your Status?
According to Dr. Fragale, many of us have a status problem (especially women.) Her research shows that we are spending too much time focusing on increasing our access to power, when, in fact, power comes from status, not the other way around.
Through small moments of warmth, coupled with assertiveness, we can find that magical middle way between being perceived as a doormat (too warm, not assertive) and being a b*tch (too assertive, not warm), which will lead to higher status and more power and influence.
Yet, solidifying our status isn't a solo sport. Studies show that when we advocate for ourselves, it has negative consequences on our status. Instead, we must enroll "other-promoters" or agents to promote us and raise our status.
Inspired by the insights and ideas from the book, we have designed an interactive, experiential workshop in which you will :

- flip the "power first, status second" mentality that is working against you
- familiarize yourself with the relationship between warmth and assertiveness, and how it relates to status
- share stories of the assertive and/or warm people that you know and identify corresponding behaviors that emulate those qualities
- identify the area you want to focus on most to grow your status -- assertiveness or warmth
- cultivate a list of "other-promoters" who can be your agents in increasing your status
