Two days ago, I agreed to do something I have never done before. I don't know if it will actually happen, but it sure does fill me with a jolt of energy and electricity at the possibility. I have never been one to figuratively or literally shy away from a leap. And I recognize that I may be an anomaly in that regard. This week seems to be all about the courage to take a leap -- both for me personally, and for those in my book circles. Yesterday, I was facilitating a team's dive into Hidden Potential by Adam Grant, where we looked closely at the 3 kinds of courage that are needed to reach our potential. After spending time in self-reflection, they then took it to the team level and identified ways that they could show collective courage.
On Monday, I will be working with a women's leadership team around the book Playing Big by Tara Mohr, with a focus on leaping and callings. We'll focus on identifying various callings, then working in triads to chunk those big callings down into what Mohr calls leaps. A leap must:
