My mom went back to work when I was 5, after staying home for 13 years (I am the youngest of 5 children.) She took a job where she traveled a lot. My father also worked, either driving or taking the train into the city, an hour each way. As you can imagine, they weren't around a lot when I was younger. When I decided to become a parent, I knew I wanted to do it differently. Not only did I have to quit a stressful, full-time traditional job to even have a sustainable pregnancy, I also knew that I didn't want to go back to that life. My family, and my overall life, is my priority. I want to have as many moments like the one below as I can. It's why I work 20–25 hours a week. It's why I work remotely, rather than traveling to clients. Freedom for me isn't just about freedom. It's about love. 👉 Why do you do what you do, how you do it?
