I am NOT a journaler, yet have tons of journals along my bookshelves, and a box of "Old Business Journals" in our storage room. I have tried and failed many times to keep a daily journal. Yet, I do love to write. It's a contradiction. (I am a contradiction.) Despite excelling in math and science in high school, I have always loved words and stories. My first major in college was English. YET.... after I got my first "C" on a writing assignment, I went to my dean and changed my major. My self-worth at the time couldn't handle being "bad" at something. Instead of writing about history, I decided to read about it, and become a history major. As I listen to The Book of Alchemy my desire to write, and write more, seems to be coming to life. Yet, despite the prompts contained within, I have yet to put pen to paper. I am taking in the stories, reflecting on the prompts, but not writing to them. I think I need a partner, or several partners. Would any of you like to join me on a 100-day challenge to write to the prompts contained within The Book of Alchemy? We can create a separate space to share our writing, or share our reflections on our writing, or a photo of our notebook and pen, with the words "complete." Let me know if you're game!
