I know that I judge myself and others. I think anyone who thinks they aren't judgmental are either delusional, or highly, and I mean highly, evolved. It was nice to have someone else affirm my beliefs -- according to Shirzad Chamine, the "Judge" is our master Saboteur, the one EVERYONE suffers from. This judge shows up in one of three ways. 1) We judge ourselves. 2) We judge others. 3) We judge circumstances. Alongside our judge, we also have an "accomplice saboteur" which differs from person to person, and also in its intensity. These other 9 saboteurs are:
The author talks about how in his own family, despite all growing up with the same circumstances, he and his siblings do not share the same saboteurs. These saboteurs were created in our youth to help us survive whatever situation we found ourselves in. The problem, is that as adults, they are no longer so helpful. Chamine calls them our "inner enemies." On the opposite side of these saboteurs is our SAGE. If we want to succeed in life, Chamine encourages us to 1) Weaken our saboteurs, 2) Strengthen our Sage, and 3) Build our Positive Intelligence Brain. Despite having recently picked up the book, I do think that I have done quite a lot of work in this area already in my life. My saboteurs are definitely NOT as strong as they used to be. If you're interested in discovering your Saboteur(s) there is an assessment online, which I will post in the comments. I am also co-hosting a workshop on the book with Marta del Pozo Lagneaux, who is a Positive Intelligence® Coach, on May 27th. If you're interested, let me know in the comments and I will send you the details. Originally posted on LinkedIn with comments. Read Deeper Not Faster
