Sometimes "set and forget" is a great mantra to live by. But when it comes to values practice, I don't think it's always wise to "set and forget" -- especially as a business. Too many businesses are happy to put their values on a wall or on their website, but fail to live them every day. Earlier this year, I hosted a session with a client where we looked at our personal values and goals in alignment with the organizational values to see where there was alignment, and where there were gaps. Some of the participants said that they had never spent much time thinking about the company values, despite being at the company for over a decade. I have spent a lot of time diving into my own values, but I decided to employ AI to see if there is a misalignment somewhere. I asked AI to scan my blog posts for the last 2 years and to look for the keywords or values that came up. Here's what it came up with: ⭐️ Connection ⭐️ Learning ⭐️ Courage ⭐️ Voice/Listening ⭐️ Transformation Then, since what I say about myself and my work doesn't mean that I actually LIVE it, I cut and pasted all my recommendations here on LI and asked AI to scan those too. Here's what it came up with as themes: ✅ Connection & Community ✅ Learning that Transforms ✅ Safety, Trust, & Inclusion ✅ Facilitation Mastery & Creativity ✅ Presence, Energy, & Care 👉 Do you notice alignment? Or gaps? 👉 Could you use a similar process to test for your own gaps? Originally posted on LinkedIn with comments. Read Deeper Not FasterComments are closed.
