In a quick search for "tips on communication better" I came across a Forbes article with these 8 tips:
Tonight, I am going to be working with a group of 20 women around the topic of "Communication with Power" as part of our exploration of the book Playing Big by Tara Mohr. As part of the book, Mohr talks about ways that women undermine their own communication with fillers, hedges and apologies, but I don't think that she does enough to talk about the power structures that are in place that limit women's ability to communicate well. As part of our work tonight, I will introduce the Voice and Silence Framework, as per Amy Edmonson, as well as the TERA Quotient, from Michael Bungay Stanier. Using these 2 additional models to supplement Mohr's work, we'll look more deeply at how power dynamics affect our communication, and where we can have more agency to communicate more powerfully. Tips in communication can only go so far, when we don't do the inner work of recognizing our own communication patterns, and how power dynamics can unconsciously shift us away from even the best advice.
