Belonging Starts With Being Seen. How Well Are We Really Seeing People?

One of my clients has invested in a new peer recognition and rewards platform, where kudos can be given publicly, with points awarded to peers, that can be redeemed for tangible items.

They've asked me to design and deliver 2 online gatherings that will increase the energy and enthusiasm for the new platform, while also creating long-lasting behavior change.

In order to create the workshop, I am using insights from:
📚Making Work Human by Eric Mosley and Derek Irvine
📚Mindset by Carol Dweck
📚The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman
📚Atomic Habits by James Clear

In the one hour that we have together, there won't be time to check email.

We'll be:
👉 Sharing recognition stories with peers
👉 Rewriting traditional work platitudes like "Great Job!" into something more meaningful
👉 Grappling with how to use the 5 love languages in a work context
👉 Jumping online to their new platform and giving heartfelt gratitude to a peer
👉 Planning a recognition schedule that's both obvious, attractive, easy, and satisfying

Tomorrow will be the first of the 2 workshop, with the following the next week.

I can't wait to dive into this topic.

I don't think better recognition always needs more budget -- it needs better language.
