I don't usually work very much during the summer. My corporate clients usually want their Spring book circles over by mid-July, and they don't resume again until September. Instead, I spend my summers supporting a non-profit that has an education and social justice focus, as part of their 3-month long Mid-Year Festival. This summer is no different. Starting next week, I will be supporting the community in 3 different ways. 1) A co-facilitated book circle on the book Burnout From Humans which explores how to create a relational relationship with AI, rather than an extractive one. 2) A solo-facilitated book circle on the book Joy Centered Pedagogy which is all about supporting professors and teachers in higher education to create more joyful spaces for learning. 3) An async book discussion, and single live book discussion on the book Hospicing Modernity by Vanessa Machado de Oliveira. All of this will be through MYFest, a mid-year festival, brought to you by Equity Unbound. In addition, I do have a new client who will be starting their first book circle with me. Their book of choice -- Defy by Dr. Sunita Sah. It will definitely be a summer of social activism. If you want to join us at MYFest, there is still room to join. In addition to my book circles and discussions, there are plenty of offerings that can support you. Here's a collection of the top themes to support our multidimensional exhaustion:
– Accessibility & sustainability
